Lacak Pembuat Testimoni Gayus -Track Builder Gayus Testimonials

JAKARTA -- Testimoni Gayus Tambunan yang disampaikan usai sidang putusan majelis hakim di Pengadilan Negeri Jakarta Selatan, kemarin, perlu diklarifikasi. Demikian diungkapkan Bambang Widjojanto usai bertandang ke kantor Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK), Jalan R Rasuna Said, Jakarta Selatan, Rabu 19 Januari.

(jpnn)

JAKARTA - Testimonials Gayus Tambunan delivered the verdict after hearing the judges at the South Jakarta District Court, yesterday, need to be clarified. Thus disclosed Bambang Widjojanto come to the office after the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), R Jalan Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, Wednesday, January 19.

"Because I had prepared in advance and in writing, so need to be asked, whether Gaius is made or any other party," says former legal practitioner who had been a candidate for chairman of this Commission.

Regarding the testimony of truth Gayus, Bambang said it would need to be tested. Starting from the suppression by the Task Force personnel Pemeberantasan Dr. Denny Indrayana Legal Mafia, CIA involvement, the mention of the involvement of officials of Directorate of Taxes, and a number of other statements expressed convicted of tax evasion sentenced to seven years in prison today is. "True or not, do not you Gayus who knows," he added.

Therefore, Bambang added, it should be Denny Indrayana and members of the Task Force is not enough just to give exposure to denial of the testimony of Gayus. Actually needed by the community or the public right now is a detailed explanation about the real issues such as sitting what about law enforcement runyamnya with Gayus as an actor. "If you just argued with each other, will never be finished," he said.

No wonder Protected

On the other hand, the Witness and Victims Protection Agency (Agency) claimed to have done anything to provide protection to convicted mafia tax, Gayus new Tambunan.Perlindungan will be given if the request from the concerned as well as from lawyers and family.

The problem, said Chairman of the Agency, Abdul Haris Semendawai, until yesterday, Gaius party has not applied for protection to the Agency. Yet as reported in previous trials, Gayus warns there are parties who threatened his life. Among other things, set the number of cases, including his departure to Macau, Singapore, and Malaysia.

This setting, the value of Gayus, very clear for wanting him dead. This could be because of the case of Gayus testimony, a number of agencies stripped one by one. Starting from the police, prosecutors, judges, prison officers, until the immigration authorities. Consequently Gaius received death threats.

Problem LPSK not come to Gayus, Abdul Haris said, it bumped the law. "Conditions mention the protection will be provided if any request from the concerned. But the lawyer and his family until now there is no filing, "said Abdul Haris. (Jpnn)by:husein.bk@gmail.comhttp://www.huseinbk.blogspot.com

Indonesia Quake: Java 'Always a Quake Risk'

Wednesday’s quake that left at least 33 people dead and more than 3,500 buildings damaged in West Java was a reminder that such powerful quakes are always a danger for the island and cannot be ignored, experts warned.

“There is always the potential to be affected by huge quakes like the one today,” said Fauzi, the head of the Earthquake and Tsunami division at the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency (BMG), adding that the capital was at risk because, though not sitting on a fault line, it was relatively near the volatile tectonic fault zone off Java’s south coast.

The quake, measured at 7.0 magnitude by the BMG, hit off the southern Java coast near the Tasikmalaya district at 2:55 p.m. and lasted for about a minute and a half, with the temblor felt across the island.

Fauzi said that although the quake had been large enough to cause tsunamis, only small waves had occurred along the southern coast of West Java, including on the tourist beaches of Pangandaran, Pelabuhanratu, and Pameungpeuk. “There was a one-meter tsunami in Pameungpeuk,” Fauzi said, “the quake also triggered 10-centimeter and 15-centimeter waves in Pangandaran and Pelabuhanratu.”

The head of the Pelabuhanratu Fishery Port, Arief Rahman, said 200 fishermen who were at sea when the quake hit were reportedly undisturbed.

Fauzi said the quake, the result of tectonic pressure caused by the Indo-Australian and Eurasian plates rubbing up against each other, was similar to a 6.1 magnitude temblor in West Sumatra in August, which shook the coast of Siberut and Mentawai islands.

Jakarta, Fauzi said, would always be one of the cities on Java vulnerable to earthquakes. “The closest fault line near Jakarta is near Sukabumi,” he said, adding that the ocean off the southern Java coast was one of the most earthquake prone areas in the country along with the western coast of Sumatra.

Earlier in the day, a magnitude-5.3 earthquake shook Mentawai islands but left no damage.

Wednesday’s earthquake is the largest since the 7.2-magnitude temblor that shook southern Java in July 2006, triggering a deadly tsunami and killing 596 people and displacing 74,000.

The death toll from Wednesday’s quake is expected to rise. At least 11 people were killed in Rawa Hideung, South Cianjur, after houses were buried in a landslide, while 4 were killed in nearby Tasikmalaya, 4 in Garut, 1 in Sukabumi, and 6 each in Bandung and Banjar. A man died of a heart attack in Jakarta because of the quake. Rustam Pakaya from the Health Ministry’s Crisis Center also said that some 40 others remained missing in Cianjur.

The West Java disaster coordinating center said that at least 3,586 buildings had been damaged by the temblor, 2,895 of them severely.

State electricity utility company PT PLN said five cities in West Java, including the provincial capital Bandung, suffered power disruptions.

Murtaqi Syamsudin, PLN’s operations director for Java, Madura and Bali, said operations in a geothermal power plant in Salak, West Java, were disrupted, affecting power supplies in the Java and Bali areas.

In the capital, tens of thousands of panicked Jakartans rushed out of high-rise buildings. Many headed home, jamming traffic in many of the city’s usual choke points, while others stayed on the streets until the situation had calmed.

Indonesia Quake Death Toll at 33, Expected to Climb

At least 33 people died and 305 were injured in the earthquake that hit Java on Wednesday, but authorities expected the figure to increase as 40 people were still missing .

Tens of thousands of people rushed from their homes and workplaces, with an estimated 1,300 houses damaged.

Rustam Pakaya, head of the Ministry of Health’s Crisis Center, said that as of 10 p.m. on Wednesday night, they had recorded 11 fatalities in Cianjur, where 12 houses were buried in a landslide, 6 each in Bandung and Banjar, 4 each in Garut and Tasikmalaya, and 1 each in Jakarta and Sukabumi.

“Most of them were housewives and children who were playing PlayStation in what’s now a buried house,’’ a resident of Cianjur, Entang Kurniawan, told TVOne.

About 5,000 people reportedly fled their homes in Cianjur following the quake and landslide.

Officials said little was known yet about some areas believed to be hit hardest by the quake.

“Communications with the coastal areas were completely cut, so we don’t know the conditions there. No reports have come from those areas,” said Priyadi Kardono, spokesman for the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) . “It’s possible the death toll could grow higher.”

The 7.3-magnitude quake’s epicenter was 142 kilometers southwest of Tasikamalaya in West Java and 30 km deep, according to the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency (BMG).

“Many houses are flattened to the ground,” said Edi Sapuan in Margamukti village, not far from Tasikmalaya. “Only the wooden houses remain standing. Many villagers are injured, covered in blood.

“We ran as soon as the quake hit. Then five minutes later, my house collapsed,” he added.

Priyadi said the jolt was followed by some aftershocks, one of which registered up to 5.1 in magnitude, with the others less than that.

“We received reports that the jolt was felt in Yogyakarta and as far as Surabaya,” Priyadi said, adding that the quake was caused by the grinding of the Indo-Australian and Eurasian tectonic plates and was a follow-up to the 6.9 magnitude quake that struck West Sumatra on Aug. 16.

Of the 305 injured, Rustam said 267 were from West Java while 38 were in Jakarta, including 18 who were rushed to two South Jakarta hospitals with light injuries.

Ani, a nurse at a Jakarta hospital’ s emergency unit, told the Jakarta Globe that 19 people were admitted to the hospital following the quake suffering from severe traumatic experience.

In Sukabumi, 23 houses were seriously damaged, an official said.

In Cirebon, West Java, three people were taken to a hospital following a stampede at a shopping mall. Five people fainted as hundreds of shoppers jammed the exits trying to get out, said a reporter who was at the scene when the stampede occurred.
